Singin', dancin', and playin' the kazoo...

Me and my evil twin plotting....

I'm learning to stand on my own two feet.
Sometimes I fall down.
It dosn't hurt too much.

Eggs are tasty good!

My Daddy taught me how to play the kazoo!

Doctor's Office and Hooters

Today was a looong day. I had to have a bath at 8am because Mom couldn't manage to change my diaper without getting poop all over me. Amateur. She was mean to me and made me take a nap when I didn't want to.

I visited Dr. Kabongo today. He is my doctor and has taken care of me since I was born. He is very nice. I got to play with the ear-looker-at-er while we waited. The nurse weighed me and said I was 17 lbs and 11 oz. Mommy says that I don't eat enough and should weigh more. I'll try to weigh more, I guess.

When Daddy came home, we went to Hooters for dinner with Auntie Katie and Uncle Jason. Daddy said I would like it because it would be a buffet for me. What's a buffet? It was loud and busy. Everybody was drinking and eating and not sharing with me. I did get to have a french fry and a cookie.

On the ride home Mommy and Daddy were arguing with Uncle Jason. It was a little bit scary. They were talking about Bob Dylan. I don't know about those things but Auntie Katie was nice and played with me while everyone was talking so loud. Uncle Jason thinks Bob Dylan is a sexy man. I don't know much, but that old guy on the Victoria's Secret commercials that Daddy is always watching seems a little creepy to me. Here's a link for Uncle Jason: http://www.slate.com/id/2098635/ (How's that for creepy! =)

p.s. Uncle Jason thinks Mommy is a freak for blogging for me. I think he's a weirdo. Don't mess with my mamma!

A-R-T is G-U-D

Mommy took me to have lunch at Balboa Park. We ate at Waters named for the reflecting pool that mirrors the California Towers. We shared a Chicken Salad and I had Green Tea for the first time. Mommy said, "I'm gonna culture you good today!" We cruised by several museums but opted for a roll in the grass rather than visit inside. I like leaves. Mommy won't let me eat them. Bummer.

Daddy called from Louisiana to say he was safe and that he loves me and Mommy. He sent us a picture of where he slept last night, on an oil platform! Mommy said, "Big Oil and war profiteers are buying your diapers son." I heard her say something about Shell and Haliburton to Daddy. I'm not sure what that means but it dosn't sound good to me.

Did I mention I like leaves?

My first Boo-Boo

My friend Harry from Day Care bit me. I was playing with a wooden block when he came up and tried to take it from me. Then hit bit down. It hurt. I cried. Then Ms. Cindy held me and I felt better.

Daddy is Louisiana and Mommy had class tonight. Ms. Katie picked me up and we hung out for two hours before Mommy came to get me. It was pretty cool to be out late with an older woman. I think she digs me.

My favorite TV show is Diego, Animal Adventurer. I watch it after breakfast, right before my nap. I like the songs and learning Spanish. Mommy sings the songs to me. Today, Diego rescued una rana de arbol. I'm learning to pull myself up to the TV and press the buttons. Mommy does not seem pleased.

Splendor in the Grass

Mom and Dad are very busy people. They are always trying to do school work on my time! However, we did have lunch at a cool 50's diner, The Corvette Cafe. The servers embarrassed my dad with a funny hat & bib. I had breaded chicken filet (minus the breading) while dad had a Philly Cheese Steak and Mom had a Southwest Chile Burger (minus the bun). Afterwards we visited the local elementary school and played on the jungle gym and swing. Mommy swung while I snuggled. Then Daddy wanted a turn. It felt warm and safe. My favorite part is the slide!
Sunday, Mommy took me to a huge patch of grass where I tried to eat grass, bark, and leaves to no avail. Mommy is too quick. I did get a good munch on a leaf while she was snapping away. It was a good weekend. Lots of playing, peek-a-boo, and learning to smack kisses. Daddy leaves for Louisiana for a few days tomorrow morning. It's just Mommy & Me. She'll do fine. She always does.

Hello World. It's me, John Maroudas

I have convinced my parents to start a blog for me in hopes that I can keep you posted on my developments, boo-boos, gripes, and general mayhem. I run a tight ship: breakfast at 7:30am, throw mom's breakfast on the floor at 8:00am, nap at 9:00am, play with my pals from 12:00-5:00, dinner at 6:00pm, bath at 7:00pm and bedtime at 7:30pm. I take my food room temperature, my pacifier loaded with cat hair, and require a minimum of 100 kisses per day. Mom and Dad do a pretty good job. I keep 'em in line. No guarantees on this blog thing, but you gotta love 'em for trying!
